My girlfriend and I dined at Sutter Street Steakhouse for the fort time, this past Saturday to celebrate my birthday. Reservations were for 7:30 and we arrived a little early, since we were familiar with the parking situation at that time of night. Folsom at this time of night is beautifully lit, and we parked out front and arrived on time. Once at the hostess arrived we checked in and waited a few minutes and then were walked to our table for two on the back patio, overlooking some of the Folsom nightlife. At first where we were at was a little dark, and it made it hard for my girlfriend to see and read her menu. As the light was coming from behind the opposite side of me, casting a shadow over, and blocking out what little light we had. Eventually after being there for maybe 10-15 minutes, someone realized more light was needed out on the patio and turned on the Cafe lights behind us. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful, and the staff were very attestation. And constantly checked up on us. Drinks: Ginger (Gin) Mule Jalisco (Tequila) Mule Appetizer: Calamari Main Course: Surf & Turf (6 oz. Filet & Prawns) 14 oz. Ribeye Dessert: Birthday Lava Cake Overall: Beautiful location, wonderful ambience, great staff and delicious food. And left so full that I had to take my birthday Dessert to-go. Definitely worth coming back to!
Overall, we had a great experience at the restaurant and we had booked a reservation online, which was very easy to do and when we arrived, we were promptly greeted in assisted. The only downfall is that we had a table reservation for an outside table on a hot day. Overall, it was a great experience, but I felt bad as there was only one server taken care of all of the outside tables so service was a bit slow. There was also an abundance of bees that were flying around that evening, which made eating very uncomfortable, but the food was fantastic. The server was great, and overall we enjoyed our experience.
Came here for a date night and I loved everything about our dining experience. Everyone that we came into contact with that worked at the restaurant was exceptionally great. I adored our server. The martinis are stiff and our meals were perfection. While very busy, there is definitely a coziness when dining in. I highly recommend.
A phenomenal dining experience at an incredible steakhouse! the service, ambiance and food all exceed our expectations from the smallest to the largest details. It was a first time visit to Sutter Street Steakhouse, to celebrate a birthday and perhaps one of the best experiences after The Kitchen, in the Sacramento Region. A few days before I reserved online and asked for 1) custom menu for a birthday 2) to have the dessert be decorated for a birthday. Well, they went absolutely above and beyond. Not only was there a custom menu with the name included but also a card signed by the entire staff ! It was such a lovely touch. Our waiter Aaron was phenomenal, incredibly professional and so kind! He started us off with house bread and butter. We then moved on with the blackened prawns with creole bbq sauce and fried calamari. The calamari was so light and crispy with a bit of a kick to it! For the mains, one order for 12oz Filet Mignon with mashed potatoes, roasted garlic, and a side of asparagus and the second order was for the single tail Maine Lobster that came with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Both were phenomenal. The meat was cooked o perfection and the lobster was just melting in the mouth. In addition, we were provided with a complimentary birthday chocolate lava cake with salted caramel and vanilla ice cream. The experience, food, and staff was 100/10. I would strongly recommend this place and will be back!
A hidden gem in Folsom! Food: 10/10 - The onion rings: a must try! The baked chicken (sub garlic mashed potatoes or cheesy mashed) is my favorite. New York steaks: cooked to perfection and so tender! The service: 6/10 - otherwise I would give this restaurant five stars. The waiter seemed distracted, he forgot to order our spinach salad, and when we asked for it twice, he finally brought the salad and it came out with about three times too much dressing, it was inedible.
What a great escape and find out of Sacramento dinning. We wanted to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and decided to forgo our usual Sacramento Midtown restaurants for Folsom's Sutter Street Steakhouse. We were beyond pleased and impressed by this restaurant's food, service and ambiance. Laura was our server and was amazing. She helped to make our special occasion a memorable one. I had the calamari appetizer, which came to the table hot and perfectly fried. My wife had the organic mixed green salad. My entree was the twin lobster tails. They were perfectly cooked and the accompaniment of the garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus were delicious. My wife had the filet mignon and loved it. It came to the table a perfect medium which was how she ordered it. Sutter Street Steakhouse surprised us with an anniversary card signed by everyone and dessert. Absolutely wonderful evening. I think we will have to celebrate more special occasions at this fabulous restaurant.
First time here on Friday for dinner. What a gorgeous steakhouse. Good variety on the menu for us to enjoy. We ordered a bunch of apps and did a rib eye each of us and added 2 lobsters to share. Perfect surf and turf. It was a good dinner overall. Standouts were the grilled prawns in mole sauce and the fresh oysters. Rib eye was good, wished mine was a bit more rare as I ordered medium rare. Service was good overall. Food came out fairly quickly and pleasing presentation. We did mention it was my husband's bday when asked if we were here for a social occasion. The waiter did not follow thru with anything for my husband. That was a little disappointing.
Food so good I didn't get any pictures, it was that kind of dinner &sometimes it gotta be like that ;) Treated my parents for a belated Father's Day and Wedding Anniversary dinner. Knowing my dad loves steak, I knew that I wanted to treat them to a new place we all haven't tried before so here we are... Making a same-day reservation was quick and easy. Called in made a reservation for 4 people at 6:30pm, perfect. When we arrived, they actually sat us 15 minutes earlier, I was excited because baby was hungry ;) Shane, our server greeted us immediately upon sitting down - that was cool! He provided great food recommendations and was very attentive throughout our dinner. Great service, thanks Shane! For food it was the 14oz Ribeye that my husband and I shared. This juicy, cooked to perfection steak came with a heaping serving of their homemade garlic-smashed-mashed-potatoes. Between him and I are we were SO happily full so sharing an entreè is absolutely do-able. Be sure not to load up too much on the complimentary bread and butter but that's going to be hard to do since the bread is delicious. Also, so an appetizer we opted for the famous crispy, crunchy calamari - can't go wrong with this Sutter Street staple. If you're looking for a fun place to celebrate a special occasion for your favorite steak lover, then I would recommend Sutter Steak Steakhouse.
Food was amazing! Halibut was fresh, filet and ribeyes were delicious. Although, I did order a medium rare filet and half of the cut was rare and the other medium well. Definitely recommend getting the farmer's selection! You can switch out the side or share between 2-3 people. I think service could have been a bit better. Our server started telling us about the specials and then moved to the other end to start taking orders, which I thought was interesting. Overall, she handled a large group of 10 people well! Nice & always ready to take pictures for us.
- Overall enjoyed my dinner. Split a Caesar Salad to start & had the Nick's Grill for my entree. That was more than enough food - I couldn't finish my mashed potatoes or spinach. My filet was a little touch and a little too well done. - Service was good - waiter was definitely attentive enough. Our food came out reaaaally slow - we came in at 5:15pm and didn't leave until 7:00pm. - We sat out in the foyer because we didn't have a reservation. Nice and quiet but a just *a little* too warm on a hot day.
